24/8 : Caspian Sea to Gondav

Surviving the first wet camping, with a fruity breakfast in the rain, we looked for a workshop to repair Bart’s window and found a Saipa garage on the way to Babol. The friendliness and professionalism of Mr. Mohamed Abou Talebi, sorted out the issue in less than an hour. Upon receipt of a sample of all his marketing material and some juices (although Ramadan prevailed), we headed further west making a stop at a port at the Caspian Sea looking for Caviar, which we missed for a couple of hours (there first question was whether we wanted to buy in tons or kilos :-) ).


After an unsuccessful search for Alexander’s Wall, we pursued the road to the first Turkmen steppes, we found a quite nice camping place (Camp Muddy) on a hill over viewing the cultivated valley, where we enjoyed a “chicken calderade”.
